This is an abstract tile with a bunch of different patterns and designs. There are spheres, swirls, twists, braids, long coils, and short coils. There are "rows" of all of the different patters. There is one long coil that surrounds a bunch of spheres, followed by five medium sized swirls, another row of spheres, then a twist, variety of short coils, a long braid, then finished off with large spheres. The tile itself is not a perfect square, nor a circle. Three elements of design were put into this tile. Texture was displayed by the different depths showed by the 3-D elements added on top of the tile. As you can see there are many shapes added that add interesting things to look at. Finally, lines, the last element of design has been displayed through coils, and the different designs are laid out in rows. When constructing this tile my only goal and purpose was to create something pleasing to the eye and different. If you look closely, starting on top of the tile, the large spheres are the largest added design on the tile, and as you move "down" the tile the designs get smaller and smaller. The design is successful because if fulfills my desires for the tile. It has different patters that are all different, yet all go together to create something that will look nice on a shelf or table.
